Protective styles in between sew ins!

I always wear my high puff in between sew ins as a low manipulation style, but I want to try something new. Here's what I want to try doing with the Marley braid hair.I wanna rotate between my puff and this bun.

ORS HAIR LOTION - EPIC FAIL

#THIS DEVIL PRODUCT DRIED DA CRAP OUT OF MY HAIR AND NOW I REMEMBER WHY I STOPPED USING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

CANTU SHEA BUTTER FOR NATURAL HAIR CURL ACTIVATOR LOTION!

#I EFFFIN LOVVE THIS SHXT LOL IM JUST MAD THAT I DON'T WANT TO DEFINE MY CURLS YET I GOTTA WAIT FOR MY HAIR TO BE LONGER TO SHOW IT OFF (EVEN THOUGH IM NOT BALD IM FULL NL)

OVERALL, I LOVE IT! It defines my curls in like 2 seconds without shingling or nun i'm lik wow my curls was just poppin everywhere!

As of today, thanksgiving day of 2012, I vow to not buy any new products that is UNNECESSARY ! This will be hard but it must be done.

I took down my SEW IN!!

OMG I took down my sew-in and i'm soo happy! I was just itchin' to see my hair lol. I did my clarifying regimen (i'm not gonna go into detail) and now i'm just letting my hair air dry in some medium twists.

What i'm super happy about is that everyone in my house is shocked looking at my hair. They can't believe how much it grew in only 6 months and now are believers in my hair journey :) took them long enuf!!

I would put up pics but I just realize that my 7 month-aversary of my natural hair is next week. I'm still debating whether or not to do a length check. I may just do it in december before my sew in. 

All in all, I'm happy with my hair. It's so soft and curly/coily looking (even though i'm gon' have to comb all that out). It just means that my hair is getting healthier and healthier by the day. I'm finally doing something right, i'm just super grateful for Hairlista.com . Lord knows I would've been bald without it.

New Products

Have you ever stopped using a product while you were transitioning and now that you are natural, decides to give that product a second chance? Well that's exactly what i'm doing with ors Hair lotion. It has been sooo long since i've used this and to be real, I only stopped using it because I was tryna hop on the all natural products bandwagon! (I later found out that that ish don't work for my hair). I will post a comparison review when I use this after taking down my sew-in.



I'm kinda scared. Even though I bought it on a gift card, I really want to like it because I lovve the smell and love glycerin. I just hope that this makes my hair soft and does not leave a residue like some people claim it do. But then again they are the same people that say cantu shea butter leave in makes their hair dry and turn it white (as you can see that didn't happen for me otherwise it would not be part of my staple products. One last thing, I pray to god that it is not as sticky and filmy like wave nouveau moisturizing hair lotion! Wish me luck ya'll, I would hate to have wasted my money!

BOUGHT SOME VIRGIN INDIAN HAIR!!! :D SOOO EXCITEDD

OMG! I just made a very, very, i mean VERY expensive investment on some virgin indian hair!

Im super excited to get it.

So, here's how this investment came to be. I'm a constant weave wearer and would always shop at beauty supplies for hair. They are descent quality but not even close to what I expect them to be for the price that they make me pay. Long story short, In about 6 months, I would normally spend 250-300 dollars on weave that I just throw away after one use. 

I thought to myself, why not spend the same amount or a little more than that to get some great quality hair that will actually last a lonnnng time? 

So i did my research on different hair company's and watched many reviews on youtube and decided to buy me some virgin indian hair from www.tiffanysindianhair.com!

I bought 3 packs of weave, 10 inch, 12 inch, and 14 inch. I did not want that blunt look and i refuse to cut this investment, so why not get some natural body and layers to it.

Lemme tell you this weave will be installed over and over and over and over .......x a million more times till it jus can't do no more.

I will post pics after I recieve my weave to show you guys what i'm going to be dealing with for the next um...dammit for the rest of my life lol. Wish me luck !

CLARIFYING REGIMEN

EVERY 2 MONTHS I...

1-Clarify my hair with tresemme deep cleansing shampoo shampoo 
2- For the 2nd wash let shampoo sit for 5 minutes
3-Do a protein treatment with organic root stimulator hair mayonnaise for 15 minutes with heat & a plastic cap
4-Do a moisture treatment with aussie 3 minute miracle for 30 minutes with heat & a plastic cap
5-T shirt dry
6-Apply cantu shea butter leave in conditioning repair cream
7-Oil scalp with castor oil & peppermint oil mix
8-Air dry in a set of twists
10-Moisturize with Scurl or w/ ors hair repair moisture creme
& Seal with castor oil

I wear my sew ins for 4 weeks (I tend to miss my hair really fast). I will let my hair breathe for 2 weeks in between sew ins.
